Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients (per serving)

  • 1 Teaspoon extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/4 pound chicken breast, baked

  • 1/4 large yellow onion, minced

  • 1/4 individual garlic clove, minced

  • 2 Teaspoons hoisin sauce

  • 2 Teaspoons soy sauce

  • 1 Teaspoon rice wine vinegar

  • 1 Teaspoon ginger, graded

  • 1 Teaspoon hot sauce

  • 2 Ounces water chestnuts

  • 1 individual green onion

  • 3 individual iceberg lettuce leaves

  • 1 pinch kosher salt

  • 1 pinch black pepper


  1. Heat olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat.

  2. Add minced onion and allow to cook until translucent, about 5 minutes

  3. Dice baked chicken and set aside.

  4. Add minced chicken to the skillet and stir to warm through.

  5. Stir in garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and hot sauce and stir together.

  6. Stir in chestnuts and green onions until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.

  7. To serve, spoon several tablespoons of the chicken mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf, taco-style.
