Heirloom Caprese Salad

Ingredients (per serving)
2 small heirloom tomatoes (or a variety of seasonal tomatoes: cherry, Roma, Beefsteak)
1 medium burrata bulb (or fresh, soft mozzarella)
1 pinch kosher salt
1 pinch black pepper
1 sprig(s) fresh basil
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon balsamic glaze (optional)
Directions
Thinly slice heirloom tomatoes (cross-wise along the stem) with a serrated knife. Arrange the tomatoes on a plate or in a small bowl.
Cut the burrata in half to expose the cream inside and place cut sides up, over the tomatoes.
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze
Season with a pinch of salt.
Tear basil leaves and place on top.
